As CHEO’s first dedicated sustainability staff member Mike leads CHEO’s Climate and Sustainability Program including planning, implementation, and performance management, working to create a healthier planet where children can thrive and live their best lives. This includes managing cross-functional initiatives in carbon reduction, climate resilience, resource conservation, and behaviour change to ensure that hospital operations, planning, and engagement efforts align with CHEO’s climate and sustainability objectives.
Outside of work, Mike finds energy and balance in nature whether gardening, camping, or simply spending time with friends and family. These moments keep him grounded and inspire his perspective, both personally and professionally.
